John was my boss at CPSO in the late 80s early 90s

He was a hard task master but at a personal level he had a wicked sense of humour, was warm, approachable, charismatic and sharp as a razor. 
He also had two favourite saying ls he used to share with his staff i.e. “we need to get our ducks in row” and “we are surrounded by indians on this one folks” 

I will always remember him with great fondness and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family.
